Practical Use of ICT course in Libraries: Perspectives of MLISc graduates in Nepal

Although the Central Department of Library and Information Science (CDLIS) was founded in TU 27 years ago, Masters (MLISc) program is less popular among recent graduates. The MLISc program's reputation significance are dependent on how successfully it has adapted to emerging information communication technology (ICT). It an early attempt assess ICT course material, primarily focusing applicable real-world professional situations.Working librarians from Nepal participated a focus group discussion well applied their line work. Participants have suggested that basic advanced topics curriculum should be distinguished clearly. automation, digital library software, other courses available. However, profession places high value graduates with complete understanding system architecture, digitization services.
